Local service
Salisbury is the centre of the northern suburbs in a practical sense: the interchange, Parabanks, John Street and the council offices all sit within a few blocks of each other, and the Little Para River winds past the edge of town. Around that core the housing is a real mix. There are original 1950s and 1960s brick and Housing Trust homes on generous blocks, many of them knocked down for two or three new houses, and the new builds are tiled from the front door to the back. Households here are often large and multigenerational, with grandparents, kids and cousins under the one roof.
Tiles and polished concrete dominate the newer Salisbury homes, and with hard floors throughout, rugs do the job of making rooms feel like rooms. The living area usually has an extra large rug, often 2.4 × 3.4 m or bigger, because the open-plan space is wide and the family is big. Bedrooms get smaller synthetic rugs beside the beds, and a prayer or play area might have a rug of its own. In the original brick homes the pattern is a wool-look polypropylene rug over carpet in the lounge and a runner in the passage. We clean the synthetic, polyester, cotton and machine-made rugs in all of these; wool and hand-knotted pieces we leave to a specialist.
With a lot of feet in the house, a Salisbury living-room rug gets more traffic in a year than most rugs see in five. Food gets dropped at big family dinners and ground in by the next pass of kids. Hot northern summers bring dust in through every open door, and a rug on polished concrete holds that dust where a mop cannot reach it. Toddlers and new babies mean milk, vomit and the odd accident, and a dog that lives half inside and half out leaves hair and that distinct dog smell through the pile. Renters moving on need the rug clean for the inspection.
Because so many of these rugs are large, we clean them where they lie rather than trying to move them, and our extraction pass lifts dust and grit out of the base of the pile. Food spots and drink marks are treated as part of the standard clean. Where there is a dog or a toddler in the house we suggest the sanitise and deodorise add-on, which freshens the whole rug rather than just the marks. Dry time on tiles or concrete is usually two to four hours with a door open. Doing the bedroom rugs at the same time saves you 10% on each extra one.

Salisbury questions
Yes. Rugs up to 9 m² are our extra large tier at $179, and anything bigger is priced by area. We clean it where it lies so there is no need to roll it up or carry it anywhere, and we work around the furniture or shift it with you.
Our products are low-residue and chosen with children and pets in mind, and because we rinse them back out through extraction, very little is left in the fibre. Once the rug is dry to the touch it is fine to use again.
How it works
We read the label or test the fibre, check the backing, the stains and the smell, and tell you honestly what will lift — and whether it is a rug we should be cleaning at all.
Grit sits at the base of the pile and grinds the fibres every time you walk on it. A slow vacuum, both sides, gets it out before anything gets wet.
A pre-spray for the traffic lanes, enzyme for pet urine and organic stains, targeted treatment for wine, coffee and ink.
Heated solution in, dirt and water straight back out in the same pass. Low moisture, so the floor underneath stays dry.
Optional sanitiser or Scotchgard, then we groom the pile so it dries evenly. Most rugs are dry in 2–4 hours.
Questions
We price by the size of the rug. A runner or small rug up to 2 m² is $69, a medium rug (2–4 m²) $99, a large 2 × 3 m lounge rug $139, an extra large rug (6.5–9 m²) $179 and an oversized 3 × 4 m rug $219. Pet urine treatment, heavy stains, Scotchgard and sanitising are optional add-ons from $20–$40, all on our price table. The minimum booking is $89, every rug after the first in the same visit is 10% off, and the price is confirmed before we start.
In your home. We bring a hot water extraction machine to you and clean the rug where it lies, or on a tiled floor, verandah or driveway if you prefer. There is no pick-up, no wash plant and no week without your rug — it is back in use the same day.
Synthetic rugs (polypropylene, polyester, nylon, acrylic), machine-made wool-look rugs, cotton flatweaves, shag and high-pile synthetic rugs, kids’ rugs, hallway runners, outdoor rugs and rubber-backed mats. We do not clean wool, hand-knotted Persian or Oriental, silk, viscose, jute, sisal, sheepskin or cowhide rugs — those need a specialist rug laundry, and we will tell you so rather than risk your rug.
Most synthetic rugs are dry to the touch in 2–4 hours, thick shag and cotton closer to 4–6. We extract as much water as the machine will pull, groom the pile, and tell you how to speed it up — lift one edge onto a chair for airflow underneath, a fan across the surface, and no furniture back on it until it is fully dry. Book a morning slot and you are walking on it that evening.
A 2 × 3 m rug is $139 in Adelaide, cleaned in your home. 7 days a week.
