Brick-veneer family homes from the 1980s and 1990s off Burton Road and Waterloo Corner Road — in-home rug cleaning in Paralowie for kids, dogs and rental inspections.
Grit, stains and pet smells — lifted out of the rug, not covered up.
Local service
Paralowie grew quickly through the 1980s and 1990s on what had been market gardens and paddocks, and the result is a suburb of brick-veneer homes on neat courtyard blocks, with Settlers Farm and the newer pockets along Burton Road adding houses right up to the present. Waterloo Corner Road runs along the edge, with farmland still visible beyond it. This is a suburb of young families, first-home buyers and investors, which means a steady turnover of tenants and a lot of homes with kids, a dog and a trampoline in the yard.
Most Paralowie homes have tiles through the entry, kitchen and family room with carpet in the bedrooms and formal lounge, and in the rentals the carpet has often been replaced with laminate boards. A large polypropylene rug under the lounge furniture and a kids’ rug in a bedroom or playroom is the standard arrangement. Families with a dog usually add a runner inside the back sliding door, and rubber-backed mats at the laundry. The rugs are mostly synthetic and machine-made, bought from the big retailers, exactly the type we clean in place without the risk of shrinking or colour run that comes with wool.
A dog that comes in from a dusty backyard leaves a brown track across the rug and a smell that gets worse on hot days. Puppies and older dogs have accidents, and because the rug is on tiles the urine soaks straight through to the backing and pools underneath. Kids spill cordial, drop yoghurt and walk dirt in from the trampoline. Investors in Paralowie have tenants moving in and out every couple of years, and the rug left behind rarely gets cleaned between them. The dust blown across from the open paddocks west of Waterloo Corner Road settles into everything.
Pet accidents are the most common reason we are called to Paralowie, and the answer is the enzyme-based pet urine and odour treatment at +$40, which breaks the urine down rather than masking it, followed by extraction to pull it out of the backing. For a rug that has been soaked repeatedly we will be honest about how much of the smell will come out before we begin. Cordial and food marks are included in the standard clean. Runners start at $69 and are a quick job on the driveway. Dry time is two to four hours, less on a warm afternoon with the sliding door open.

Paralowie questions
Bring us in to look first. A single accident or two cleans up well with the enzyme treatment. If the backing is saturated from repeated soaking, we will tell you straight whether cleaning will fix it, and it costs you nothing to hear that before you decide.
Yes. We clean the rugs that came with the rental where they lie, treat any marks, and leave them dry within a few hours. We can also clean the couch in the same visit through our sister business, Couch Rescue Adelaide, if the agent has flagged that too.
How it works
We read the label or test the fibre, check the backing, the stains and the smell, and tell you honestly what will lift — and whether it is a rug we should be cleaning at all.
Grit sits at the base of the pile and grinds the fibres every time you walk on it. A slow vacuum, both sides, gets it out before anything gets wet.
A pre-spray for the traffic lanes, enzyme for pet urine and organic stains, targeted treatment for wine, coffee and ink.
Heated solution in, dirt and water straight back out in the same pass. Low moisture, so the floor underneath stays dry.
Optional sanitiser or Scotchgard, then we groom the pile so it dries evenly. Most rugs are dry in 2–4 hours.
Questions
We price by the size of the rug. A runner or small rug up to 2 m² is $69, a medium rug (2–4 m²) $99, a large 2 × 3 m lounge rug $139, an extra large rug (6.5–9 m²) $179 and an oversized 3 × 4 m rug $219. Pet urine treatment, heavy stains, Scotchgard and sanitising are optional add-ons from $20–$40, all on our price table. The minimum booking is $89, every rug after the first in the same visit is 10% off, and the price is confirmed before we start.
In your home. We bring a hot water extraction machine to you and clean the rug where it lies, or on a tiled floor, verandah or driveway if you prefer. There is no pick-up, no wash plant and no week without your rug — it is back in use the same day.
Synthetic rugs (polypropylene, polyester, nylon, acrylic), machine-made wool-look rugs, cotton flatweaves, shag and high-pile synthetic rugs, kids’ rugs, hallway runners, outdoor rugs and rubber-backed mats. We do not clean wool, hand-knotted Persian or Oriental, silk, viscose, jute, sisal, sheepskin or cowhide rugs — those need a specialist rug laundry, and we will tell you so rather than risk your rug.
Most synthetic rugs are dry to the touch in 2–4 hours, thick shag and cotton closer to 4–6. We extract as much water as the machine will pull, groom the pile, and tell you how to speed it up — lift one edge onto a chair for airflow underneath, a fan across the surface, and no furniture back on it until it is fully dry. Book a morning slot and you are walking on it that evening.
A 2 × 3 m rug is $139 in Adelaide, cleaned in your home. 7 days a week.
