Local service
Ingle Farm was subdivided through the 1960s and early 1970s into neat rectangular blocks of brick-veneer homes, and it has stayed remarkably intact: single-storey houses with tiled roofs, a carport down one side and a Hills hoist out the back. The shopping centre on Montague Road and the recreation centre are the local landmarks everybody uses. A lot of original owners are still here, now in their seventies and eighties, alongside the young families and renters who have bought or leased from the ones who have moved on to something smaller.
An Ingle Farm house in original condition has carpet in the lounge and bedrooms, vinyl or slate in the kitchen and entry, and a wool-look synthetic rug laid on top of the lounge carpet to protect it. Homes that have been updated usually have tiles or floating boards right through, with a large rug under the couch and a runner in the passage to the bedrooms. The retired owners tend to have one good machine-made rug they have looked after for years; the young families have a kids’ rug, a hall runner and a bath mat or two. We clean all of those synthetic, cotton and rubber-backed pieces in your home.
A rug laid over carpet in a well-kept Ingle Farm lounge still collects decades of fine dust that settles through the pile into the carpet below, and the two layers together hold a stale smell. Hall runners wear to a dark path from the bedrooms to the kitchen. In the family homes it is cordial, crayon and dog hair, and a runner inside the back door that has taken years of grit from the yard. Rentals between tenants usually have a rug nobody has cleaned since it was bought. Hot summers on the plains bake the dust in, and a pet rug near a sunny window fades and smells at the same time.
With a rug over carpet we clean the rug in place with a low-moisture pass so the carpet below does not get wet, or lift the rug onto the slate or out to the carport if you prefer, which also gives the carpet underneath a chance to air. The hot water extraction pass pulls the fine dust out of the pile, and marks like cordial or crayon come out in the standard clean, with set-in stains treated at +$30. A hall runner is $69 and is often the piece that makes the biggest visual difference. Dry time is two to four hours, less in summer with the doors open.

Ingle Farm questions
If it is a machine-made synthetic rug and the backing is sound, a proper clean usually brings the colour and pile back more than people expect. If it is wool we refer it to a specialist laundry. We look at it first and tell you honestly before anything is paid.
Yes. We either clean it in place with a tight low-moisture extraction pass, or lift it onto a hard surface such as the kitchen floor or the carport and clean it there. Either way it is dry in a few hours and the carpet underneath stays dry.
How it works
We read the label or test the fibre, check the backing, the stains and the smell, and tell you honestly what will lift — and whether it is a rug we should be cleaning at all.
Grit sits at the base of the pile and grinds the fibres every time you walk on it. A slow vacuum, both sides, gets it out before anything gets wet.
A pre-spray for the traffic lanes, enzyme for pet urine and organic stains, targeted treatment for wine, coffee and ink.
Heated solution in, dirt and water straight back out in the same pass. Low moisture, so the floor underneath stays dry.
Optional sanitiser or Scotchgard, then we groom the pile so it dries evenly. Most rugs are dry in 2–4 hours.
Questions
We price by the size of the rug. A runner or small rug up to 2 m² is $69, a medium rug (2–4 m²) $99, a large 2 × 3 m lounge rug $139, an extra large rug (6.5–9 m²) $179 and an oversized 3 × 4 m rug $219. Pet urine treatment, heavy stains, Scotchgard and sanitising are optional add-ons from $20–$40, all on our price table. The minimum booking is $89, every rug after the first in the same visit is 10% off, and the price is confirmed before we start.
In your home. We bring a hot water extraction machine to you and clean the rug where it lies, or on a tiled floor, verandah or driveway if you prefer. There is no pick-up, no wash plant and no week without your rug — it is back in use the same day.
Synthetic rugs (polypropylene, polyester, nylon, acrylic), machine-made wool-look rugs, cotton flatweaves, shag and high-pile synthetic rugs, kids’ rugs, hallway runners, outdoor rugs and rubber-backed mats. We do not clean wool, hand-knotted Persian or Oriental, silk, viscose, jute, sisal, sheepskin or cowhide rugs — those need a specialist rug laundry, and we will tell you so rather than risk your rug.
Most synthetic rugs are dry to the touch in 2–4 hours, thick shag and cotton closer to 4–6. We extract as much water as the machine will pull, groom the pile, and tell you how to speed it up — lift one edge onto a chair for airflow underneath, a fan across the surface, and no furniture back on it until it is fully dry. Book a morning slot and you are walking on it that evening.
A 2 × 3 m rug is $139 in Adelaide, cleaned in your home. 7 days a week.
