Local service
Holden Hill is a small suburb between North East Road, Sudholz Road and Grand Junction Road, built out in the 1960s and early 1970s with brick homes on generous blocks, including a solid share of Housing Trust houses. Like its neighbours it is now subdividing fast, and rows of two-storey townhouses and courtyard homes are appearing where one house used to stand. The police complex on Sudholz Road is the landmark most people know. The residents are a genuine mix: older owners who built here, young couples in their first townhouse, and renters in both.
The 1960s homes typically have polished hardwood under the carpet, and those that have been renovated show it off with a large rug in the lounge and a runner down the passage. Unrenovated ones have carpet with a synthetic rug over the worn patch in front of the couch. The townhouses are tiled downstairs and carpeted up, with a medium rug on the tiles in a compact living room and often a rug in the small courtyard too. Shag and polyester rugs are common with the younger households, flatweaves and wool-look polypropylene with the older ones. We clean all of those synthetic and cotton rugs where they lie.
A rug placed to cover worn carpet in an older Holden Hill home is often the dirtiest thing in the house, because it sits on the exact traffic path to the couch. Townhouse rugs on tiles in a small living room take every spill from the couch at close range: wine, coffee, takeaway. Dust and diesel grime from North East Road and Grand Junction Road settle on anything near the front. Renters inherit rugs that smell of a previous dog. And with so much building going on, grit from neighbouring sites ends up tracked in on shoes and ground into the entry runner.
We clean the rug in place with a hot water extraction pass that pulls dirt from the base of the pile and leaves the tiles or boards under it dry, lifting an edge afterwards to make sure. Spills from the couch come out in the standard clean, and set stains are treated separately with your say-so first. A dog smell left by the previous tenant gets the enzyme treatment. A medium rug is $99, and because townhouse households often have a second rug in a bedroom or courtyard, every additional rug in the same visit is 10% off. Most rugs are dry in two to four hours, which fits around a working day.

Holden Hill questions
For a rug that takes daily use in a small living room, once a year is a reasonable rhythm, sooner if a big spill sets. Blot anything fresh with a dry cloth rather than scrubbing it. Scotchgard after a clean makes the spills easier to deal with between visits.
Yes. A low-moisture extraction pass cleans the rug without wetting the carpet beneath, and we lift it afterwards to check. If you prefer we move it to the kitchen floor or the carport and clean it there, which also lets the carpet underneath breathe.
How it works
We read the label or test the fibre, check the backing, the stains and the smell, and tell you honestly what will lift — and whether it is a rug we should be cleaning at all.
Grit sits at the base of the pile and grinds the fibres every time you walk on it. A slow vacuum, both sides, gets it out before anything gets wet.
A pre-spray for the traffic lanes, enzyme for pet urine and organic stains, targeted treatment for wine, coffee and ink.
Heated solution in, dirt and water straight back out in the same pass. Low moisture, so the floor underneath stays dry.
Optional sanitiser or Scotchgard, then we groom the pile so it dries evenly. Most rugs are dry in 2–4 hours.
Questions
We price by the size of the rug. A runner or small rug up to 2 m² is $69, a medium rug (2–4 m²) $99, a large 2 × 3 m lounge rug $139, an extra large rug (6.5–9 m²) $179 and an oversized 3 × 4 m rug $219. Pet urine treatment, heavy stains, Scotchgard and sanitising are optional add-ons from $20–$40, all on our price table. The minimum booking is $89, every rug after the first in the same visit is 10% off, and the price is confirmed before we start.
In your home. We bring a hot water extraction machine to you and clean the rug where it lies, or on a tiled floor, verandah or driveway if you prefer. There is no pick-up, no wash plant and no week without your rug — it is back in use the same day.
Synthetic rugs (polypropylene, polyester, nylon, acrylic), machine-made wool-look rugs, cotton flatweaves, shag and high-pile synthetic rugs, kids’ rugs, hallway runners, outdoor rugs and rubber-backed mats. We do not clean wool, hand-knotted Persian or Oriental, silk, viscose, jute, sisal, sheepskin or cowhide rugs — those need a specialist rug laundry, and we will tell you so rather than risk your rug.
Most synthetic rugs are dry to the touch in 2–4 hours, thick shag and cotton closer to 4–6. We extract as much water as the machine will pull, groom the pile, and tell you how to speed it up — lift one edge onto a chair for airflow underneath, a fan across the surface, and no furniture back on it until it is fully dry. Book a morning slot and you are walking on it that evening.
A 2 × 3 m rug is $139 in Adelaide, cleaned in your home. 7 days a week.
