Local service
Fullarton is a quiet grid of streets between Fullarton Road and Glen Osmond Road, just past Parkside and before the foothills start. It has an older, settled feel: Federation and Edwardian villas on the wider streets, Californian bungalows from the 1920s and 30s, and along Fullarton Road itself, the 1960s and 70s brick unit groups and newer apartments that bring in renters and downsizers. The Fullarton Park Community Centre and the Highgate shops nearby give it a local centre.
The bungalows and villas have polished boards and high ceilings, and most have been extended at the back with a tiled kitchen and living area. Rugs do the warming and the softening: a large synthetic or machine-made rug under the lounge furniture, a runner in the hall, and cotton or shag rugs in bedrooms. Downsizers in the units often lay a rug over the existing carpet. Some long-held homes have a Persian or wool rug in the front room, and those we do not clean; we will tell you straight and point you to a specialist. The polypropylene, polyester and cotton rugs in the rest of the house are what we are for.
Settled suburbs produce settled dirt. A rug that has been in the same spot for ten years has a clear dark path through it and a clean rectangle where the couch sits, and the owner has stopped seeing either. Hallway runners in the bungalows take grit from the footpaths on Fullarton Road and dog hair from a walk to the park. Units with old carpet underneath a rug trap dust between the two layers and the whole room smells stale. And older residents sometimes assume a dirty rug is simply a worn one, when it is mostly soil.
We come to the house or the unit, protect the floor and clean the rug where it lies, using hot water extraction that lifts years of settled soil out of the pile and often brings the colour back more than people expect. Runners up to 2 m² are $69, with a minimum booking of $89, so a single hallway runner is worth pairing with a bedroom rug or a doormat. Rugs over carpet are lifted, cleaned on sheeting, and the carpet underneath gets a vacuum before the rug goes back. Dry time is 2–4 hours; we tell you first if a stain is permanent; and we work 7 days, 7am–7pm, so a weekday morning suits retirees who would rather not have anyone around on a weekend.

Fullarton questions
It will improve a great deal. The dark path is mostly ground-in soil, which extraction removes. Where the pile has worn flat the texture difference stays even when the colour evens out, and we will show you that before we start so you can decide. Rotating the rug after cleaning helps it wear more evenly.
Yes, the minimum booking is $89. A single runner at $69 would not reach it, so most unit owners add a bedroom rug or bath mat to the same visit, with every extra rug 10% off. That way the minimum is covered and you get two rugs done rather than one.
How it works
We read the label or test the fibre, check the backing, the stains and the smell, and tell you honestly what will lift — and whether it is a rug we should be cleaning at all.
Grit sits at the base of the pile and grinds the fibres every time you walk on it. A slow vacuum, both sides, gets it out before anything gets wet.
A pre-spray for the traffic lanes, enzyme for pet urine and organic stains, targeted treatment for wine, coffee and ink.
Heated solution in, dirt and water straight back out in the same pass. Low moisture, so the floor underneath stays dry.
Optional sanitiser or Scotchgard, then we groom the pile so it dries evenly. Most rugs are dry in 2–4 hours.
Questions
We price by the size of the rug. A runner or small rug up to 2 m² is $69, a medium rug (2–4 m²) $99, a large 2 × 3 m lounge rug $139, an extra large rug (6.5–9 m²) $179 and an oversized 3 × 4 m rug $219. Pet urine treatment, heavy stains, Scotchgard and sanitising are optional add-ons from $20–$40, all on our price table. The minimum booking is $89, every rug after the first in the same visit is 10% off, and the price is confirmed before we start.
In your home. We bring a hot water extraction machine to you and clean the rug where it lies, or on a tiled floor, verandah or driveway if you prefer. There is no pick-up, no wash plant and no week without your rug — it is back in use the same day.
Synthetic rugs (polypropylene, polyester, nylon, acrylic), machine-made wool-look rugs, cotton flatweaves, shag and high-pile synthetic rugs, kids’ rugs, hallway runners, outdoor rugs and rubber-backed mats. We do not clean wool, hand-knotted Persian or Oriental, silk, viscose, jute, sisal, sheepskin or cowhide rugs — those need a specialist rug laundry, and we will tell you so rather than risk your rug.
Most synthetic rugs are dry to the touch in 2–4 hours, thick shag and cotton closer to 4–6. We extract as much water as the machine will pull, groom the pile, and tell you how to speed it up — lift one edge onto a chair for airflow underneath, a fan across the surface, and no furniture back on it until it is fully dry. Book a morning slot and you are walking on it that evening.
A 2 × 3 m rug is $139 in Adelaide, cleaned in your home. 7 days a week.
