Post-war brick homes, new two-storey builds on split blocks and the Lochiel Park green village — in-home rug cleaning in Campbelltown, with mould treatment for the rugs that live on tiles.
Grit, stains and pet smells — lifted out of the rug, not covered up.
Local service
Campbelltown stretches from Lower North East Road down to the Torrens and Linear Park, with the Memorial Oval and the ARC leisure centre at its centre. Italian families who came after the war and gardened every square metre of their blocks shaped the suburb, and their solid 1950s to 70s brick homes still line the streets. Many of those blocks have since been split, so a new two-storey house often stands beside an original with its lemon tree and concrete drive, and Lochiel Park on the river adds a pocket of 2000s eco homes.
Floors here are hard almost without exception. The original homes have terrazzo or ceramic tiles through the living areas, with carpet left in the bedrooms, and the new builds have large-format tiles or hybrid planks across an open-plan ground floor. Rugs do the warming. A big polypropylene or polyester rug sits under the lounge suite, a kids’ rug in the family room, and often a runner in the tiled hallway. Many homes have a finished garage set up as a cantina or rumpus with a rug over the concrete. Machine-made wool-look rugs are common and we clean those; true wool and hand-made pieces we refer to a specialist.
A rug on tiles over a slab is the Campbelltown pattern, and it has a particular problem: moisture. Tiles are cold, condensation forms under a rug in winter, and the underside takes on a mildew smell nobody can find the source of. Rugs in garages and cantinas are worse, with damp concrete beneath and tomato sauce from passata day above. Big family gatherings bring kids, red sauce and wine onto the main rug. Linear Park dog walks bring in mud from the river banks, and the new houses on narrow blocks have the front door opening straight onto the rug, so grit from the drive goes straight in.
We clean the rug where it lies, or carry it onto the concrete drive if you would rather, which on a sunny day also helps it dry. Hot water extraction lifts the sauce, the mud and the grey, and we rinse the cleaning product out through the machine so nothing sticky is left for kids to crawl on. For rugs with the slab-damp smell, the mould and mildew treatment at +$40 kills the spores and clears the odour. A 2 × 3 m lounge rug is $139 and the price does not change on the day. Dry time is 2–4 hours, and the couch can be done in the same visit.

Campbelltown questions
Usually both. Cold tiles sweat under a rug and the backing holds the moisture. We clean and treat the rug for mould and mildew, dry it fast with extraction, and check the tiles. If the floor is the cause we will suggest an underlay that lets air through so the smell does not return.
Yes, as long as it is a synthetic or cotton rug. We treat the stains, extract, and tell you first if any oil has set permanently. Rugs that have lived on a damp garage slab often need the mildew treatment as well, and we will say so before starting rather than surprising you afterwards.
How it works
We read the label or test the fibre, check the backing, the stains and the smell, and tell you honestly what will lift — and whether it is a rug we should be cleaning at all.
Grit sits at the base of the pile and grinds the fibres every time you walk on it. A slow vacuum, both sides, gets it out before anything gets wet.
A pre-spray for the traffic lanes, enzyme for pet urine and organic stains, targeted treatment for wine, coffee and ink.
Heated solution in, dirt and water straight back out in the same pass. Low moisture, so the floor underneath stays dry.
Optional sanitiser or Scotchgard, then we groom the pile so it dries evenly. Most rugs are dry in 2–4 hours.
Questions
We price by the size of the rug. A runner or small rug up to 2 m² is $69, a medium rug (2–4 m²) $99, a large 2 × 3 m lounge rug $139, an extra large rug (6.5–9 m²) $179 and an oversized 3 × 4 m rug $219. Pet urine treatment, heavy stains, Scotchgard and sanitising are optional add-ons from $20–$40, all on our price table. The minimum booking is $89, every rug after the first in the same visit is 10% off, and the price is confirmed before we start.
In your home. We bring a hot water extraction machine to you and clean the rug where it lies, or on a tiled floor, verandah or driveway if you prefer. There is no pick-up, no wash plant and no week without your rug — it is back in use the same day.
Synthetic rugs (polypropylene, polyester, nylon, acrylic), machine-made wool-look rugs, cotton flatweaves, shag and high-pile synthetic rugs, kids’ rugs, hallway runners, outdoor rugs and rubber-backed mats. We do not clean wool, hand-knotted Persian or Oriental, silk, viscose, jute, sisal, sheepskin or cowhide rugs — those need a specialist rug laundry, and we will tell you so rather than risk your rug.
Most synthetic rugs are dry to the touch in 2–4 hours, thick shag and cotton closer to 4–6. We extract as much water as the machine will pull, groom the pile, and tell you how to speed it up — lift one edge onto a chair for airflow underneath, a fan across the surface, and no furniture back on it until it is fully dry. Book a morning slot and you are walking on it that evening.
A 2 × 3 m rug is $139 in Adelaide, cleaned in your home. 7 days a week.
