Findon · SA 5023
Solid 1950s and 60s brick, big backyards and new townhouses squeezed in beside them — rug cleaning in Findon homes, honest about stains before you pay.
Grit, stains and pet smells — lifted out of the rug, not covered up.
Local service
Findon was built out through the 1950s and 60s for families who wanted a brick house on a big block, and a lot of those families, many of them Italian and Greek, are still here. Findon Road and Grange Road are the spines, the shopping centre sits at their corner, and the Findon Skid Kids have raced on their track for generations. Now the big blocks are being split, and a townhouse or two sits behind the original house on most streets.
The original homes have hardwood boards under the carpet, slate or terrazzo in the entry, and a formal lounge that is kept nice with a good patterned rug under the lounge suite. Family rooms at the back run to vinyl or tiles with a rug for the grandchildren to play on. The new townhouses are tiled or floating-floor throughout with a 2 × 3 m rug in the living area and a runner at the stairs. Whichever house you are in, there is usually a hallway runner and a rubber-backed mat at the laundry door. These are machine-made, synthetic and cotton rugs, and we clean them in your home.
A formal lounge rug in a Findon home is often decades old, with a flattened path where visitors walk to the couch and the colours dulled by years of fine dust rather than any particular stain. The family room rug is the opposite: grandchildren, tomato sauce, a dropped plate of pasta, and the family dog that has slept on it since it was a puppy. Townhouse rugs cope with a puppy of their own and the first dinner parties of young owners. Gardens with vegetable patches and olive trees add soil to every back-door mat, and grit from footpaths comes in on bikes and prams.
Hot water extraction rinses the dust out of an old formal rug rather than just vacuuming the surface, and the colours often come back more than people expect. We will tell you honestly before we start if the pile is worn rather than dirty. For the family room rug, the pet urine and odour treatment at +$40 breaks down what the dog has left behind, and light food spots are included in the clean. A large 2 × 3 m lounge rug is $139. We clean on the boards or tiles where the rug lies, extract the moisture straight back out and check underneath. Most rugs are dry in 2–4 hours.

Findon questions
If it is a machine-made synthetic or cotton rug, yes, and older rugs often clean up better than people expect because the dirt is dust rather than stains. If it turns out to be wool or hand-knotted we will tell you straight and point you to a specialist rug laundry instead of risking it.
In place. We vacuum, pre-spray and extract it on your tiles or floating floor, then lift the edges to check the floor is dry. Open a window and leave a fan on and it is usually dry within a few hours. No outside area or driveway is needed for the clean.
How it works
We read the label or test the fibre, check the backing, the stains and the smell, and tell you honestly what will lift — and whether it is a rug we should be cleaning at all.
Grit sits at the base of the pile and grinds the fibres every time you walk on it. A slow vacuum, both sides, gets it out before anything gets wet.
A pre-spray for the traffic lanes, enzyme for pet urine and organic stains, targeted treatment for wine, coffee and ink.
Heated solution in, dirt and water straight back out in the same pass. Low moisture, so the floor underneath stays dry.
Optional sanitiser or Scotchgard, then we groom the pile so it dries evenly. Most rugs are dry in 2–4 hours.
Questions
We price by the size of the rug. A runner or small rug up to 2 m² is $69, a medium rug (2–4 m²) $99, a large 2 × 3 m lounge rug $139, an extra large rug (6.5–9 m²) $179 and an oversized 3 × 4 m rug $219. Pet urine treatment, heavy stains, Scotchgard and sanitising are optional add-ons from $20–$40, all on our price table. The minimum booking is $89, every rug after the first in the same visit is 10% off, and the price is confirmed before we start.
In your home. We bring a hot water extraction machine to you and clean the rug where it lies, or on a tiled floor, verandah or driveway if you prefer. There is no pick-up, no wash plant and no week without your rug — it is back in use the same day.
Synthetic rugs (polypropylene, polyester, nylon, acrylic), machine-made wool-look rugs, cotton flatweaves, shag and high-pile synthetic rugs, kids’ rugs, hallway runners, outdoor rugs and rubber-backed mats. We do not clean wool, hand-knotted Persian or Oriental, silk, viscose, jute, sisal, sheepskin or cowhide rugs — those need a specialist rug laundry, and we will tell you so rather than risk your rug.
Most synthetic rugs are dry to the touch in 2–4 hours, thick shag and cotton closer to 4–6. We extract as much water as the machine will pull, groom the pile, and tell you how to speed it up — lift one edge onto a chair for airflow underneath, a fan across the surface, and no furniture back on it until it is fully dry. Book a morning slot and you are walking on it that evening.
A 2 × 3 m rug is $139 in Adelaide, cleaned in your home. 7 days a week.
