Davoren Park · SA 5113
Trust-built homes from the Elizabeth West days, renewal builds and a lot of rentals — in-home rug cleaning in Davoren Park that tells you what will come out before you pay. Minimum booking $89.
Grit, stains and pet smells — lifted out of the rug, not covered up.
Local service
Davoren Park began as Elizabeth West, part of the Housing Trust’s satellite city, and its streets of 1950s and 1960s Trust homes around Peachey Road and Woodford Road still carry that layout. Over the past fifteen years the Playford Alive renewal has replaced many of the oldest Trust houses with new builds, so a street can hold a 1960s cream-brick semi next to a rendered home with a double garage. Public housing tenants, private renters, pensioners who have lived here since the start and young families buying their first affordable house all share the suburb.
The older Trust homes have hardwood floors under lino or old carpet, short passages and compact lounges, where a medium or large polypropylene rug does the work of softening a hard floor. The renewal builds are tiled through the living area with carpet in bedrooms, and a big synthetic rug anchors the lounge on the tiles. Shag rugs, kids’ rugs with printed designs and cheap flatweaves from the big retailers are everywhere, and many were inherited from the previous tenant. All of those are the machine-made synthetic rugs we clean in place, on the lino, on the boards or on the tiles.
Rugs in Davoren Park rentals change hands with the house, and a new tenant often inherits a rug with another family’s dog smell, drink marks and the flattened grey of years without a clean. Dogs here are big and numerous, the backyard is often bare in a dry summer, and the lounge rug takes dirt, hair and the occasional accident. Kids spill, cry and are sick on the rug nearest the television. Housing inspections and bond returns are where it comes to a head: the tenant needs the rug clean to get the bond back, and cannot afford to pay for a clean that does not work.
We look at the rug first and say what we expect to come out and what might not, before any money is taken. The hot water extraction pass lifts dirt, hair and the general grey, and drink marks are included. Dog urine is treated with the enzyme pet treatment at +$40; a rug that has been soaked repeatedly may not fully recover and we will say so. Our minimum booking is $89, so one lounge rug is a real option, not a padded quote. Rugs on tiles or boards dry in two to four hours. If the rug is not worth cleaning, we tell you that too.

Davoren Park questions
Yes, and the day before is the right time to book. A morning slot leaves the rug dry by the afternoon and ready for the inspection. Tell us when you book if there are pet marks so we bring the enzyme treatment with us.
Sometimes not, and we will tell you. If the rug is structurally sound and the marks are surface dirt and spills, a clean works and costs less than replacing it. If the backing is rotten or the smell has gone right through, we will say so and you can decide.
How it works
We read the label or test the fibre, check the backing, the stains and the smell, and tell you honestly what will lift — and whether it is a rug we should be cleaning at all.
Grit sits at the base of the pile and grinds the fibres every time you walk on it. A slow vacuum, both sides, gets it out before anything gets wet.
A pre-spray for the traffic lanes, enzyme for pet urine and organic stains, targeted treatment for wine, coffee and ink.
Heated solution in, dirt and water straight back out in the same pass. Low moisture, so the floor underneath stays dry.
Optional sanitiser or Scotchgard, then we groom the pile so it dries evenly. Most rugs are dry in 2–4 hours.
Questions
We price by the size of the rug. A runner or small rug up to 2 m² is $69, a medium rug (2–4 m²) $99, a large 2 × 3 m lounge rug $139, an extra large rug (6.5–9 m²) $179 and an oversized 3 × 4 m rug $219. Pet urine treatment, heavy stains, Scotchgard and sanitising are optional add-ons from $20–$40, all on our price table. The minimum booking is $89, every rug after the first in the same visit is 10% off, and the price is confirmed before we start.
In your home. We bring a hot water extraction machine to you and clean the rug where it lies, or on a tiled floor, verandah or driveway if you prefer. There is no pick-up, no wash plant and no week without your rug — it is back in use the same day.
Synthetic rugs (polypropylene, polyester, nylon, acrylic), machine-made wool-look rugs, cotton flatweaves, shag and high-pile synthetic rugs, kids’ rugs, hallway runners, outdoor rugs and rubber-backed mats. We do not clean wool, hand-knotted Persian or Oriental, silk, viscose, jute, sisal, sheepskin or cowhide rugs — those need a specialist rug laundry, and we will tell you so rather than risk your rug.
Most synthetic rugs are dry to the touch in 2–4 hours, thick shag and cotton closer to 4–6. We extract as much water as the machine will pull, groom the pile, and tell you how to speed it up — lift one edge onto a chair for airflow underneath, a fan across the surface, and no furniture back on it until it is fully dry. Book a morning slot and you are walking on it that evening.
A 2 × 3 m rug is $139 in Adelaide, cleaned in your home. 7 days a week.
